There were several arrivals this morning on the Prinee George from Stewart. Mr. Ben Davis, the manager of the Empress Hotel at that place, is on his way south on a short expecting to return in a couple of weeks’ business trip, north again time. Rannie, who first set foot on the mudflats at the head of Portland Canala way back in the early days of ‘98, when the Klondyke rush was on, is on bis way south with his family, a trip to Australia being in contempla- tion by way of a real holiday va- cation before returning north again in the spring.
