Air cadets attend camps Several members of Squadron 559 Prince Rupert are at present: attending an Air Cadet summer camp at Richmond, B.C. The first camp which started Saturday lasts until the second camp starts on August 4. Ap- proximately 700 cadets will ve attending the camps. A well planned training pro- gram in operation stresses out- door athletic activities and or- ganized sports, besides academic subjects, Off base entertainments in- clude well organized tours and trips. This year a big attraction was the World’s Fair in Seattle. Other highlights are a swim meet and sperts day held at the University of British Columbia Empire pool and stadium. Wherever possible, cadets are brought to the campsite by the RCAF.
