SUNSHINE GIRLS HAD CONTEST LAST NIGHT Herb Bell Was Mirth Raiser as “The Man from Kiondyke” in Gay Comedy. 1s ‘ : ww ve The chorus girls’ contest was one of the leading features at the Westholme Opera House yes- terday evening. The Sunshine Girls did their utmost to outvie each other in the excellence of their “stunts.” The first prize for the contest was finally award- ed to Cecil Breach, who played a violin obligato as an accom- painment to Frances Crane's singing. Florence Merrett took the second place. The show was “The Man from Klondyke,” considered by some to be the best performance which the Frank Rich Company has put on during the present engage- ment here. Herb Bell was cer- tainly at his best in the leading role, as Heinrick Guggenheimer, the man from Klondyke. Some of the ecatchiest songs were “My Georgiana Lou” by Bessie Barry and chorus, “Burglar Rag” by Aubrey Carr and chorus and “T Got the Mumps” by Cecil Chaney and the Sunshine Girls. This was Miss Chaney's first attempt at leading the chorus and she did the work very creditably. The company will play this evening a new comedy with the alluring title “The Magic Bath.” REFORM FORM OF THE SENATE will Be Discussed by Canadian Political Science Association. 16."
