Former Dawsonites residing here will remember him as clerk of the court in the Yu- kon metropolis. Open this evening 162-tf VADSO GETTING READY Repaired Vessel for Northern Ports Next Week The steamer Vadso will be de- livered at the wharf of the Un- ion Steamship Company next Monday after being repaired at the Wallace Shipyards, North Vancouver, and on Wednesday she will commence loading for Queen Charlotte City, Aliford Bay, Masset, Naden Harbor, and all canneries on the Seena and the Naas rivers. COMMISSION COMING Agricultural Commission to Visit Prince Rupert The main body of the Royal Agricultural Commission has proceeded to Fort George. The commission has just completed a series of sittings at Salmon Arm, Cranbrook, Windermere, Wilmer, Goiden, Eiko, Revelstoke Armstrong, Enderby, Kelowna, Summerland, Penticton, Kere- meos, Rock Creek, Midway, Re Teenwood, Grand Forks, Ross- pnd, Trail, Nakusp, Edgwood, FSlocan, Nelson, Kaslo, Creston, Ashcroft and a number of other places. It is the intention pow to hold a number of meetings in the Fort George district and then the commissioners will go to Prince Rupert. FISHING EXPERT To Inspect Bulkley River at Mor- ricetown J. P. Babcock, of the Provin- ciai Fisheries Department left for the interior this morning. He intends to go to Morricetown on the Bulkley River in order to see whether there is any im- provement in the river needed at that point to ailow the fish to wet up stream.
