The condition of the money market is urged to be such that any attempt to raise money would scarcely be likely to meet with success. “It will be better for us to wait for a time,” C, Arnold, the city treasurer, said today. “If we were to make an unsuc- cessful attempt to float a loan it would only damage the credit of the city. We should always be sure of gelling the money as the underwriters would take over the amount unsubscribed by the pub- lic, but there is no need for hur- ry.” HIT BY BALL JUNE SHOWED PROGRESS IN DRIVING BIG BORE For the month of June. the big tunnel being driven to tap the Glacier Greek vein series at depth was put forward 218 feet for the thirty days.
