The steamer Leebro, under
charter to the Canadian Marine
Department, has been exclusively
engaged in transporting cement,
lumber and other materials used
in the building of the huge tow-
er. Upon the completion of her
next voyage North, it is expected
that sufficient material will be on
tie spot to complete the light-
house. At the present time the
D. G. S. Quadra is at Cape St.
James unloading supplies. With
the lights at Langara and Cape
St. James in operation, shipping
off the Queen Charlotte Islands
will be well protected. Dotted
along the British Columbia-coast
line there are in operation in the
vicinity of 100 lights of varying
