Ottawa, Nov. 20.—The Stanley cup trustees have no objection to placing the famous old trophy, now held by the Quebee elub, up for the world’s hockey series, planned by the N. H. A. and the Coast League. Trustee William Foran, in speaking of putting up dhe old cup, said that the trophy represented the hockey cham- pionship of Canada, and that the trustees had no objection how many games the teams wished to for it, providing that the games were for the hockey jchampionship of Canada and the club holding the trophy take the proper care of it. This announcement will do away with any plans for the shelving of the battered piece of silverware presented by Lord Stanley in the early days of hockey, and this news will be re- ceived with general approval, the hockey fans not wishing the battered old mug, and al! its with gone days, consigned to the scrap heap. to see associations QUEENSTOWN WHARF .
