of the Supreme Court for the
winding up of the firm of Alvo
von Alvensleben, Limited, was

made by Chief Justice Hunter this

morning on the application of
Mr. John Gurney Fordham, a
creditor for 831,000 for monies

lent to the company. Mr. R
Kerr Houlgate, of the Yorkshire
Guarantee Company, was ap-

pointed as liquidator.
Mr. W. Martin Griffin, who ap-

peared for the petitioning cred
itor, said that the company had
been incorporated in October,

1907, with a capital of $50,000,
to take over the business of Mr.
von Alvensieben. It had gone into
voluntary liquidation on Septem-
ber 28 of this year. The liabili-
ties were in the neighborhood of

#3,600,000 and the assets, con-
sisting of real estate, mining
claims and interests in agree-

ments, are expected to realize over
one million dollars.

Winnipeg, Oct. 23.—After hay
