The sheet metal workers of the city have organized and elected their officers as a result of the visit of the official organizer and general vice-president of the Amalgamated Sheet Metal Work- ers International Alliance, A. J. Crawford. Mr. Crawford, who is on way home from Chicago, Was shown around the city, visiting the drydock, cold storage and other places of interest. He went south on the Prince George this morning. The union which he organized elected the following officers: President, H, Fraser. his Secretary, W. M. Sutherland. Treasurer, N. C, Robinson. ANOTHER CHURCH HAS GOOD REPORT Baptist Managers Pleased With Year's Frugress—70 at Sun- day Schcol Dinner Last Night. The annual supper and general meeting Of the Baptist Church was held in the parlors of the chureh last evening. At 6:30 a dainty and appetizing supper was served to about 50. persons. The excelled themselves and the supper was voted the best yet. After the supper the general meeting commenced, Mr. Boden presiding. Reports brought in showed good work and progress in all branches of church work, and the Sunday School report was particularly gratifying. There is an average attendance at the Sun- day School of 70 children, which ladies is much exceeded in the winter months. Miss Sully, president of the Corner Club, reported for that body. Among the other reports were those brought in for the Ladies’ Aid by Mrs. Lamb, the secretary tneasurer’s report by H. M. Daggett and the report of the church clerk, P. H. Linzey. Miss Fuller also gave a short address on the Forward Movement activi- ties and a committee under her convenorship was appointed to further the revival work. Miss Dawson, Mr. Boden and P. H. Linzey were appointed dea- cons. Church Clerk P. H. Linzey and Treasurer H: M. Daggett were both re-elected. The congregation is still waiting on word from the Baptist Mission at Vancouver 0 the appointment of a new minis- ter.
