She says that when they lived in Vancouver her cakes always seemed coarse and sort of heavy. When she had to leave off fresh milk il worried her until] she tried Pacific. C. 80 — FOOTBALL GAME SCORELESS TIE Great War Veterans and All Stars Were Evenly Matched in Saturday’s Game. The football game between the All Stars and the Great War Vet- erans’ Association in answer to the challenge sent out by the re- turned men resulted in a score- tie on Saturday afternoon. The ball was kicked off by Mayor McClymont and during the first half the soldiers seemed to have the of it and played some good combination which put their opponents in corners at times. They failed to score at the last moments, however- The Stars picked up in the second half when they had the wind, sun and slope in their favor. A goal was netted by them just before the final whistle but the less best referee called off side so it did not tally. \ characteristic of the entire game was a lack of effective for- ward work with the result that one man generally found himself alone forsvard with the ball, faced by a group of opponents. Good half and full back work was done. Bert Wearmouth, Percy Tinker and Albert Craggs starred fon the Veterans while the most effective work for the Al] Stars was done by Sid. Hardy, Kelsey and Harry Menzies. Abe Kinghorn, with the Stans, showed his usual good form. Harry Day, playing half back, a new position for him, did not get an opportunity to do his familiar good work. W. E. Williscroft refereed the game in excellent style and “crabbing” on the side lines was practically absent. J.
