March 12th, 1920. 56 Noble the Dated Golds Bring Tu; Check Them Now Take Grip-Fix and Avoid the Chance of Severe and Dangerous Complications. “Jump right on every cold when it first appears and your chances of escaping ‘Nu are good.” “Take care _of yourself and you are safe.” These expressions sum up pretty well the advice that physicians are giving their patients just now, Suppose you could find a remedy that would knock a bad cold in a single night and do the work safely and surely, you would feel fairly safe from the ‘flu, wouldn't you? Well that remedy has been found. Just walk into any drug store Sa) Grip-Fix” and get the box that contains the reliable little capsules that always do the trick. Grip-Fix is prepared from a formula a well known physician has been using for many years to check colds. Its contents are plainly printed on every box. If you are afraid of preparations soid over the irvg counter, submit the formula of Grip-Fix to your family doctor and ask him what he thinks of the combination of frugs it contains. Grip-Fix has a record behind it. Thou- sands of serious colds have vanished through its agency. It is put up in the easily assimilated capsule form and ts perfectly safe to take. Just follow the directions carefully—Grip-Fix will do the rest. You can get Grip-Fix from any druggist at 35 cents per box. fans will be sorry to see him go their best wishes will follow him and they will all be glad to wel- come him back before winter sets in. * * * Meanwhile if Prince Rupert is to maintain her enviable position as the champion baseball town ot the north it will be necessary to find some new recruits and good ones too. It is true there are al- ready some good ones here like old: heavy hitter Clem and short stop Wallace Anderson, but there are not enough to fill all the posi- tions in onder to meet some of the rival teams that will want to play Rupert this summer. It is believed that Ben Self will be able to relieve the minds of the fans considerably when he returns from the south as that is one of his objects on his trip. He has the obtaining of a pitcher spec- ially in mind and with the de- parture of Harry Day that is the most important question right now. * * . Basketball enthusiasm seems to have petered out if one would judge from the small attendance that has characterized the recent games: A reason that some ad- vance for not going is that they do not eare to climb the hill to the Exhibition Hall. Despite these reasons those interested in sport should turn out because good attendance at the games incans more money for the Ath- letic Association. Financially the association is not in good shape and money must be pro- vided to equip the gymnasium, With these games they are mak- ing an honest effort to pull out of the hole and get ahead and the officials cannot be blamed for feeling disappointed at the way the public is responding. ee oe The announcement made yes- terday that boxing enthusiasts would have another opportuninty to see a real encounter was met with enthusiasm in sporting cir- cles, Chet Neff and Jimmie Clarke have not yet met, but they are considered to be well matched. Both have a reputation for game- ness and skill and the exhibition should be a good one. It is some years since a real boxing contest has been witnessed in Rupert. There has not been one since the War; commenced, so the many lovers of the fistic art are very pleased. . ges Saturday's football game drew a big crowd and foptball men say that soccer is going to be the king sport here this year, Although this will be disputed by baseball people, still the en- thusiasm that was ‘displayed on the football field last year showed that there are many who take a Last great interest in the game. Ih organizers of the teams last Saturday showed a lot of good judgment in their selection and though some people thought the game was slow it was neverthe- less well contested and the ex- cellent back work was responsible for the lack of goals scored.
