Symphony its season's The Prince Rupert /Orchestra concluded concerts last night with Miss Jennie Taggart, soprano, and A, Bentley, baritone, as soloists. It was a most enjoyable affair and the theatre was crowded to the doors with a very appreciative jaudience. The symphony orchestra, which has done such excellent work throughout the season, was quite up to the mark of former efforts, but it gave a number of selections with great precision and excellent shading effects, and ithe work was much appreciated. The quartette by Miss L. M. Stephen, Miss Lillian King, and Phillipson and Harvey was divided into four sections and proved one of the interesting features of the concert. Miss Taggart sang well and her Scotch songs were especially well received, She was generous in responding to recalls and it was in the encore numbers that she appealed most strongly to the taste of the audience. A. Bentley, who*had not been heard before at the theatre, made an excellent impression and was recalled each time. Miss F. L. Edmands was accompanist for the soloists and Miss Stephen was pianist for the orchestra. The iano used was loa.ed for the oc- casion by W. J. Pitman. KILLED BY TRAIN Arthur E.
