Jt woes not.set forth much. that is new, but it does give the official viewpoint and it shows that Mr. Hinton has been on the job all the time, so far as the interests of Prince Rupert are concerned. He recommended to the receiver that 100 car® were needed but that fifty would to some extent relieve the situation. When he was notified that thirty had been ordered he protested that thirty would be wholly inadequate. And yet we have had people in this city who @ad nothing but vilification for-the general manager of the road and blamed him for everything that was wrong. It is clear now that the only reason we did not get the improvemeats was because the Govern- ment seemed intent on starving out this place. We have not been getting a fair deal, in this respect, : We must give credit to the Government for having let the contract for the new dock here, but in the matter of fish cars they have been clearly negligent. In view ofthe situation, another effort should be sade at once, possibly by a mass meeting or through the Board of Trade and City Council to have this car the Dominion Government. Continual bombardment is necessary if we are to arouse attention. It is no good to sitback and wait. Possibly the Unionist Associa- tion can be prevailed on to back the local request. 4 —_ PPP PP DENTISTRY of the Highest Gr Grade and Lowest Cost ‘i EXTRAGTION » ae . ion as stly le whi thereafter be de 18:34 p.m., 8.5 feet. pres a eae ee - a — 2 = ated | A thereat te 1X wa 1n artvated an 24 ¢ ible | privilege nd will be subject to tt ful- | Wednesday, June 30 ers ee ae Oe?
