Spokane, Wn,, Dec. 18.—When the Astor Street bridge across the Spokane collapsed this a street-car fell into the steel the bridge pinned the car beneath the river morning, from river. A beam water, making rescue work almost impossible. In the car seven were killed and ten injured. The entire bridge’ went down, taking with it the pipes which supply water and gas to the northeast section of the city. The police and firemen are working hard to rescue bodies which are visible under the water. Many have been killed, but the exact number is unknown.
