New York, March 31.—Captain Hans Taucher, the husband of the Prima Donna Gadski and the head of the Taucher Arms Com- pany, a representative of Krupp’s, has been arrested on a charge of conspiracy in connection with the plot to blow up the Welland Canal. The information against Tau- cher was given by the German spy, Von Der Goltz, who was ar- rested in England and sentenced to death, the sentence being com- muted on condition that he came to America and gave evidence against his associates, -Taucher had procured the dynamite sup- plies for the proposed outrage.
