DAILY EDITION ss Friday, September 7, 1923. Lay Plant Now For Week At Fair. This is a good time to lay plans for the forthcoming fair week. Of course everyone will wbh to be present for the big event and it is stated that something will be doing at the fair each afternoon and evening thai will make a visit there worth, while. The fair is uur one big bet'each year. We pride ourselves on it and doubtless the people here will not fail on this twca-ion.i Entertain Visitors . Who Come To City. A number of visitors will be here from different parts of! the district and some of them will have (o remain in the city for a longer time then they wish because of the boat service. While they are here Prince llupert people who know them ever mi -lightly might well go. out of their way to entertain them. On the manner in which they are treated here will depend the future attitude of many of them to this eily. H is lagging the question to ay it . not done elsewhere. I.el u be unique and do things a little differently sometimes. We do not need to follow the general ruck of eitien else we shall be only a commonplace city. If we become known for our hospitality people will like lo come here and we shall find it not onlyj vcry enjoyable lo omvelves but also good business. Lei fair week be often house week. Redistribution ' Difficult Blatter. , Redistribution will be a difficult matter. It will be under taken by the Legislature this autumn when the povernment! brings in a bill changing the borders of some of the constituencies. It is to be hnd that in making that change the Prince Rupert constituency will be somewhat narrowed and that another member will be added to 1he northern representatives. No one will wish to see the number of members increased and it is possible that the greatest change will e brought about by giving Peace River a representative and then re-arranging the iMHindaries of the others. Ocean Falls and Bella (loola may also be" lopped off this district. Tlus seems to be the time to make any representations to the government in regard to the, matter for everyone will have his own .'opinion of what is best to do aiid sometimes in the multitude if counsellors there is wisdom. English Objecting To American Caricatures. American pictures taken af Hollywood of Engli-h scenes are said to be often mot grotesque and when the films reach England,- as they almost invariably do, they become a source of great amusement to the English people. Occasionally Ihev are so bad that they rouse the ire of ljie people across, the water. The difficulty seems to be that oflen the scene are put on by actors who have never visited England and who know absolutely nothing of the country anil it habits. In manvi cases they have no( even read English books. These people set out to portray English life as they imagine it and. then trv to e (be pri duct lo the people of England:' II is no wonder that the people there sometimes call a hall. Making Crime A Profession. A great maiy people drift into a position where bv force of circumstance- 1ir through following Iheir natural instincts I hey become crimiiiaJs. They excel at the profession and evince much cleverness. Had they devoid anything like a much energy and intelligence to legitimate holiness they would have become rich and respectable members of society.
