The sports ground which was excellently laid out by the New Massed residents, presented a, spectacular picture and with Ihe pnrgcous summer dresses and the bright sunshine the merry makers wore enjoying the host tintc ever experienced in New Massett. The picnic was brouplit to a cbfse with a dance in the parish hall after which the large party returned lo Hockley Hay once ninro, refreshed and with renewed vigor to play their part, in addinfr to Ihe prosperity of this sawmill I own.
