last

had
occasion

the
evening
train
East.
The
train
was
due
to
start
at

Standard
Time.
On
arrival
at
the
station
the
in
formation
was
given
that
the
train
would
be

hours
late
in
starting.
As
there
were
quite
a
number
of
people
waiting,
far
more
than
could
be
accommodated
in
the
waiting
room,
it
would
mean
that
a
number
would
have
to
stand.
Among
them
was

.an
elderly
lady
who
was
blind
"
and
who
had
been
discharged
from
hospital
that
day.
As
there
were
no
officials
on
duty
except
on
the
sleeping
car
section
the
unfortunate
passengers
had
to
stand
for
the
IV'2
hours.
Surely
some
arrangements
can
and
should
be
made
to
ensure
the
cemfort
of
passengers
who
have
already
paid
their
fares.
