Cadets, Prince Rupert, one of: a party of Canadian Sea Cadets, who are making a trip to England under the auspices of the Navy League, Is sending to the Dally News a series of letters during the memorable trip to keep the people at home in touch with his experiences and Impressions. Here ft the fourth letter: H.M.S. RAMILLIES Portsmouth, En?., Dear Friends: During the past week we have had to conform to a plan laid down for us by the powers that be so that we cou'.d cover the greatest amount of territory and see the most Interesting and educational of what there is to see during the time that we have. We are kept fairly busy up. until four ip.m. after which we are given shore leave unless there is something spe cial doing. On the night of August 13 we went to an opera "The Student Prince," whlth I enjoyed Im mensely, and last night we went over to the Isle of Wl?ht where we visited the Coww Sa 'Cadet Corpv and had tea with ITie mayor of Cowes. In the free eve nln most of us. took ths bus to Southsea where there Is a ffrent playground similar to Cgney Isl and only on a smaller scale. Today we visited Whale Isl and, the sunrary school of th Royal Navy, and saw how some cf the men are trained In marching, gun drill, and so on. Each of us., was given at charwc to try our ability at shooting a planes under actual battle conditions.
