OBSERVING OF EDUCATION WEEK At the monthly meeting of the He stressed the objectives of the Canadian Clubs, which are to create an informed public opinion and to build a united Canada. He declared that many people do not realize that Cana dians are only one-third Anglo-Saxons, one-third being French and one-third foreign. He advocated the teaching of two official languages in primary school so that In 20 years it would be-c o m e unimportant whether English or French were spoken. EXPERIENCE ON HIGHWAY Lieut, and Mrs. Ernest Santurbane, who were here recently enroute to Alaska, the former having been transferred north in the United States Army ser vice, had a trying experience on the highway while coming here. The Omineca Herald men tlons that, when in the neigh borhood of Cedarville, there was a SDrlne breakage and LleuU Santurbane got under the car and proceeded to make repairs. But the Jack slipped and his head caught, leaving him pin ned under .the automobile and quite helpless. Fortunately Scotty McRae, well known Skeena resident, came along and gave the required aid.
