Itiuc Hup' nc SHORT SPORT The attempts to finish the play-offs In both the MenVs nnd the Ladles' Fastball Leagues have been sadly held up by the weatherman. It Is probabe that, should the elements cause any further games to be cancelled, the remaining games will b called off. In a way this would be very disappointing and would be a poor tmlsh to what has been one of the most successful fastball leagues In years. When the Fastball Commission drew up the plans for the play-offs they were fully aware of the un certainties of Prince Rupert weather. By the way It might be noted that in the Western International Baseball League the final games were rained out and the president of the association de clared the Vancouver Capllanos winners; so that .Prince Rupert is not the only place where out door activities have been curtail ed by the unwelcome presence of "Rain, Unlimited." However, it has often been the case in past years that there have been some weeks of beautiful weather In September Indian Summer- but this year the weather has been unsuitable and the breaks have gone against the game. It Is possible that the games may be finished this week and there has been talk of a double-header on Sunday, now that the local baseball season has concluded, Tonight's game calls for the third and deciding game In the best of three between High School and Gordon & Anderson In the Men's Fastball Leaeue. Tomorrow's game Is the replay of last evenings drawn game In the Ladles' League, between Gor don & Anderson nnrl MtoVi School.
