TERRACE CIVIC CENTRE ACTIVE Changrs ami Improvements Being; Marie Committees Are Reorganized TERRACE Committee reor- ganization and other business was disposed of at a general meeting of the Terrace and District Civic Centre Association in the Oddfellows' Hall on Wednesday evening with Dudley .Little, president, in the chair.' There was an excellent attendance and routine business was quickly disposed of after which a general and at times lively discussion took place on various subjects. It was decided to. carry out the several suggestions of Alf Yoxall, the director, as far as possible. S. Campbell has undertaken to introduce a Pro-Rec program and, in order .to assist in this, it was decided to purchase a piano. The president and treasurer were commissioned to secure a suitable instrument. George McAdanvs stressed thJ necessity for a street light to be instailed-at the forks -of the road leading to the Civic Centre and also pointed out that there was a great need of a sidewalk leading from the centre of the town towards the Civic Centre and direction signs for the convenience of visitors. A good deal of discussion took place on this proposal and it was asreed to approach the local commissioners in respect of these matters. On the suggestion of Mel Pecke-Vout it was further decided to seek the installation of a light at the outside corner of the Civic Centre hulldjng. This matter will be attended to as soon as possible. NEW COMMITTEES ARE SET UP After discussion It was decided to discharge the old committees and to form new committees, looking toward a vigorous program of activity for the winter months.
