Symington CMG, president of Trans-Canada Air Lines that due to expanded activities of that cam-pany, another vice - president had been appointed. In addition to the vice president operations, W. F. McKlmm, here-to-fore Canadian representative on the Council of International Civil Aviation Organization. Mr. Symington slated that the new vice president would relieve the present senior officers of much of the administrative and liason work required as a result of the constant growth of the national air lines. Anson Couttes McKlmm was born In Montreal on January 24, 1905. He attended West-mount High School and McGlll University, graduating from the school of commerce in 192-4. After working two years with P. S. Ross and Sons, accountants, he returned to McGill and received his arts degree in 1927. In 192S he obtained his M.B.A, at the Harvard Business School. He was named a member of the Canadian delegation to the first interim assembly of the Provisional International Civil Aviation Organization held In Montreal, May 1946, and has served as the Canadian representative on the I.C.A.O. council since that date. In 1929 he Joined Canadian Industries Limited, where he eventually became aysistant general manager of the cellulose products group. In June 1940, he went on loan to the Canadian government to become assistant to Rt. Hon. Arthur B. Purvis, director gen eral of the British purchasing commission. On the death of Mr. Purvis In 1941 he went to the Department of Munitions and Supply In Washington as assist ant to the director-general of the Washington office. In May 1942, he became deputy United Kingdom representative. Canadian Department of Munitions and Supply. During the wir Mr. McKlnnon worked closely with the Ministry of Aircraft Production in Great Britain on programs of aircraft manufacture and had extensive dealings in the manufacture of aircraft in Canada and In the exchange of technical Information between the United Kingdom, Canada and .other countries.
