The stricken population is salvaging the wreckage of the worst disaster in one hundred years. Of 20,000 persons rescued from inundated buildings 200 wen unconscious. District Well Covered by Radio Receiving Stations Many Licenses are Granted The large number of licensed receiving sets that are to be found in the city and district gives some idea of Hie popularity of radiu in the north. Under tho Radio Act, which is administered by the department of marine and fisheries, all sets must be licensed. The fees are collected by the post offices and the Royal Canadian .Mounted Pol ire checks up the sets.
