FINE FOOTBALL GAME IS DRAWN Callles and Veterans Each Made Two Goals In Stuart Shield Fixture Last Night The heat, football frame of the season and one of the' most keenly contested ever staged in the city was the Stuart Shield fixture last night between the dallies and Oreat War Veterans which resulted in a two all draw. It was even all the way through and there was little to choose between the two sides. Combin ation play was much in evidence and featured the match. The Veterans, with the grade ami light in their favor, opened the scoring about fifteen minutes after the opening when Norwood, with splendid judgment as to time and placing, put the sphere past threo defence mien and completely surprised the goal keeper who thought he was amply covered. From the centre-off, the Callies worked the ball Up the field and SanJmfy F.hler slipped it to W. Hamilton who did not de lay in making a nice goal of it. The rest pf (he half was back and fortli, but there was. no further, scoring. With the grade now in their favor, the Callies got away and IF TROUBLED WITH DIARRHOEA You Should Use pressed hard in the second lialfjslanding in Prince Rupert, was and things looked none too bright for the Vets. The defence of the soldiers, however, did much to save the day though Ihe Scot made another tally when Hob Woods kicked in a . close one which gave the goalkeeper no chance. With the chances still more against them, the Vets tried hard to equalize but Ihe Scottish defence was right on the job. Ten minutes before the final whistle, however, Norwood slipped through the opposing defence and scored another pretty goal for the Vets. Player Was Hurt Fifteen minutes before the close of the game, Sammy F.hler, Gallic forward, .had an impact with Knox, the Veterans goal keeper. The former was knocked out and it Was five minutes be fore he came to. A doctor was called and it was found that Ihe player was badly hurt though perhaps not quite us bad as it might have been. The stars of the game were Ihe goalkeepers and centre halves on either .side. The Veterans were not quite as strong in the forward line as they might have been and their performance in this department was eclipsed by that of the Callies. I'onj Jones referecd, J. O.
