Prince Rupert captured fool-ball honors in the 1924 Exhibit rion series hy winning over Any- ox and lying with Ocean J-alls. Anyox won it game from Ocean Falls. Prince Ruperl thus made three points, Anyox two aud Ocean Falls, one. Anyox, however, scored the largest nurnlier ut Kals four, while Prince Jtu-eprt and Ocean Falls each made three. . Prince Ruperl, by dividing I be series of two games with Ket chikan, made an even break in baseball. It had been intended to stage three games but tHiie and weather did not iterinit of the third being played. Ketchi kan got a total of thirteen runs in the two games and the locals, nine. The local football players were able lo make a better showing in competition with outsiders because they had more practice during the season. If Ihe baseball players had had as much practice, they would likely have done belter. Fielding errors were responsible for the most of the baseball games lost by the locals this v year and the only thing dial will prevent these is to have the players in better form through practice. It would he-well to remember the 1924 exr periences when plan" are made for 1925 activities. -- . , Two chilldren were hurt at Saturday afternoon's baseball game. A little boy was struck with a fly ball in the stomach and Ihe Kelchikan third baseman, in running after a fly, knocked lown a little girl. Neither young wlers were hurt seriously but they might have .been. These, in cidenls should serve, however, lo point out the necessity of keep ing youngsters away from the proximity of the diamond wluMe there is always a certain amount of danger. No one but the par- ifits can he blamed if children are seriously hurt in such a manner. Those in charge of the grounds, however, might assist in keeping children and inebriates off the diamond.
