Porter Idaho-Marmot Mlali NEWPOLICYOF TRAIL SMELTER Will Concentrate Suitable Ores from Nearby Mines for Customers NKUSON, July 9. That the Consolidated Mining A -Smelling Company of Canada will under take to concentrate suilable'cus- loin ore in its mill at Trail, was staled yesle.i'day by . . May-lock, general manager of the company. Several tons of customs ore is now being concentrated, but whether under llmo contracts or on special shipment. 'Mr. May-cock could not say off hand. "You can .say that the 'pros pects are that our Trail mill will concentrate ore for several mines," Mr. Blaylock said, "but I cannot now stale what ones they are." Need Not Build Mills The Consolidated company's new departure has the utmost significance, for it means that properties (hat have a high grade milling ore, but not the resources 'to build mills, and perhaps not Hie ore to justify the large outlays required for them, may have custom concentration. at the expense of the freight on the excess rock, and the milling charges. Most Koolenay mills concentrate to about one-tenth tho bulk, so smelling charges on large waste tonnage will bo avoided. Under the practice up lo the present, properties without mil have been obliged lo practice sorting lo different grades, to utilize 'the Trail facillies to ad vantage. As only the largest properties have mills, Hie Consolidated' new slep will ibe of importance lo many properties in their present stage, having considerable bodies of low grade ore, or lo 'properties NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF RESERVfc IVOTICE IS HEIIKIIY UIVE.N that 111' reserve uvcilntr rt'iiain lamb near tin Junction of Otslail and Ski-tua ltlve.t ileslKnalcd l.ol sit, KaiiKe 5, uoasl ll-Uitt, Is camelled.
