Today, May it!, is officially designated as National Hospital .Day a day set apart for the education of the public on hospital matters. Because the. day will be more convenient, Thursday of Ibis week will be observed in Prinre Rupert as National Hospital Day. The hospital board is inviting the public at large to visit Ihe .hospital on that day set that it may be seen at first baud how. a, hospital is administered., Before visiting the hospital, it might be well for people to have some advance knowledge 'as -to how the institution is managed and conducted. In view of this Ihe following statements. are' published: General Management Of The Hospital. The general management, of the Prince Rupert Hospital is in the- hands of a board composed of five members elected by the association members in annual meeting, two representatives from the city council, one from the provincial government, one irom me meoicni association and one from the ladies' hospital auxiliary, ten in all. These committees meet frequently as necessity demands and the. members pay frequent visits to Ihe hospital so that matters coming wilhin their jurisdiction may receive an intimate oversight. ' AU members of the board give, freely and cheerfully of their lime to this work in order that the institution which is so necessary to the community may be carried on but Ihev desire and .isk that each member of the community become be'tler acquainted-with the institution; its beneficent 'work and its needs so that a more, general and kindly interest may be taken in it throughout the year. The Duties Of A Managing Secretary. v The internal management of Ihe hospital is in the hand of a managing secretary who devotes the whole of his lime, to Ihe work and who js fully occupied with his mauv and varied duties. , .
