In t he i case, a Ghilcolin native named Xeganie stands' charged, with manslaughter in connection with the death of another native who, it is alleged, died following a Idow struck by accused in a drunken brawl. K. F. Jones has the defence in the case and among the witnesses who are I here are Dr. G. A. Charier of Williams Lake and Ian MacRae of Hanccvillc. Accused was brought to the city by Provincial Constable Marshall on Saturday. Provincial Constable J. A. Williams of Bella Coola also arrived in Ihe city on Saturday bringing W. Pollard, Bella Coola native, who is charged with man slaughter following the death of John Clelland in an automobile collision. Dr. G. E. Bayfield of Bella Coola is among' jhe, witnesses who have arrived 73 give evidence in this case. The other lvo criminal cases to be heard at the assizes are; Rex. vs. Symes, charged with manslaughter, and Rex. vs. Arthur Slewart, wounding with intent. Tbe docket of civil cases is a light one.
