Andrews' Anglican Church, Hev. Archdeacon Mix, administrator of Hie diocese of Caledonia, officiating, when Miss Violet Mortimer, daughter of Mr .and Mrs. Edward Mortimer of this city, became the bride of 1'aul II. Yelton, formerly of Kentucky hut now of Hiverside, California. The church was filled to Ihe doors by the many friends of (he bride and of the Tamily, with all of whom she is deservedly popular The bride, who looked ex tremely pretty gowned in white satin with double lace tulle veil draped to form a train, held with a wreath of orange blossoms and white heather ami carrying a bouquet of pale (link roses, entered the church on the arm of her father to the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Kllell. Mrs. Charles Kvitt, matron ol honor, was a striking figure in pale mauve -willi picture hat and feather to nialch. Two liny tots followed, little Oeraldine Cade, in mauve. sweet little flower girl, and Gordon Wright, equally admired in Hie garb of a white sailor, as page. The bride's mother wore dark blue georgette with lace hat to match. The groom was supported b Itichmoiid Mortimer, brother of the bride and the ushers were Alex. Ilix and W. Walton, mem bers of the younger set to which Ihe bride belonged. The church was beaulifully deeoraled with flowers and greenery and the service was fully choral, most of the mem bers of the choir being personal friends of Hie bride. Reception Held Following the service, which was a mosl impressive one, u re-l ceplion was held in the new I.O.D.1L Hall on Fifth Avenue, which had been specially lire-J pared for the occasion. This room was tastily decorated, the work having been done under Ihe direction or W. Watt and A Itix. The wedding rake was cul by Mrs. Kvitt and refreshments were served to Ihe guests by Mrs. Wright, assisted by friends of :he bride. In proposing Hie loast to the bride. Archdeacon Itix referred to the charming qualities which had made her so popular in the community. He had known her for many years and he knew nothing but good of her. As a close friend or the rainily and a member ol his congregation, he felt any man was lucky to get ucli a helpmeet. The loast whs drunk with en thusiasm aud with musical hon ors and responded lo appropriately by I he groom. American Consul Waketield (lieu spoke a few words in welcoming the bride to the United Stales and Mr. Mortimer replied, (o a toast to Ihe parents. The young couple was escorted lo tie boat by a bevy of the brides former companions and an informal reception was held on Ihe upper deck or Ihe .-learner Prince jtuperl where Ihe bride was showered with confetti and wilh good wishes for her rulure happiness.
