Fair to Open Here Next Tuesday Evening. ' r Next Tuesday evening is the time set for the ojwiiuig of the Prince Rupert Fair and it is hoped by that time to have all the judging' completed. 11 is difficult to judge exhibits when people are wandering .iboiit and making remarks. Judging is very important in connection with fairs. If the judging is poorly done, exhibitors beronie dissatisfied and refuse to make entries and interest in the fair falls off. .So far there is a good entry list and those who have not filled out the forms ami jhiid the Tecs should do so at oure.' There are a lot of iteople who go -on the assumption thai if you have a loud voire and lols. of assurance von do not need any manners. There are people who. have such a charming personality iliai they can do things and get away with them that would get others into trouble. Still the loud neron is a terrible bore often and woidd do much better to curb the noise. Nois- is not necessary in order to be "peppy." It is not neees sary to be rude to be "peppy." " The person whouelies on noise and crudity to make himself o'r herself popular has made a nusiake. . , No one cares for a person who never speaks. Some people are too stupid to talk. Others are stupid when they talk too much and seldom say anything. .Moderation m the amount of'talking, in the lone of voire and in the seoimient expressed is always pleasing.
