LADIES' NIGHT AT GYRO CLUB Banquet, Bridge and Dance Held Last Night In Boston Hall The Prince Rupert Gyro Club held its first "ladies' night" last evening when wives of the -members and friends were entertained at a banquet, bridge ' parly mil dance m the Boston Hall The affair was a jolly one and there were some, seventy per sons in attendance. President McNaughlon was in the chair, Stan Taylor was chairman of the committee in charge, Lionel Hnllby was master of ceremonies and Gyros generally assisted. In the course of the dinner Micro was community singing under Ihe direction of S. K, Campbell. The only toast tif the evening was thai to "The Gyret- les" which was proposed by Ed-die Mann and observed with ihe. singing of "For They are Jolly Good Fellows" by the Gyros. President McNaughlon announced that George Shaw and Douglas Frizzell had been elect ed members of Ihe 'club and then administered the Gyro pledge to these new members. Miss Nada Johnstone, accompanied by Mis Blanche. Curlin, sang a solo and was encored. Music for Ihe dance was sup plied hy an orchestra consisting of Miss Marjorie Lancaster. Howard White -and Kenny Hood which also played selections during the dinner arid acco'in- lanied the community singing. Among those present were: Mr. and Mrs. It. F. . Xaughlon.
