Every boat travelling after dark, is supposed to show lights although a great many W not. Small fishing vessels and pleasure craft are the worst offenders iu this regard. Another thing that is very dangerous is running up too close to steamers to "catch their swell." There are reported to have been a number of near-accidents through doing this lately It is a foolhardy practice and worries those in charge of the larger vessel. Poor Sportsmen Are Very Common. Wilful destruction -if and negligence with property of others iu popular hunting ami fishing resorts nearby is a practice that is constantly being complained of. Only today it is reported that the boats thai had been placed on Cloyafi Lake fur the- benefit of the anglers at large, have been allowed to drirt down the river and now lhere are no boats on the lake.
