When the program wa inaugurated in 1946 the fe ‘ government stated it would be reviewed at the end of five years. Last year Manitoba and the other western provinces sent some 40 carloads of livestock and produce to the fair. These included about 120 horse, 300 head of cattle, 100 swine and 50 sheep. Officials say this year even more entries may come from the west. In beef and market cattle classes last year, one-fifth of all animals came from western Canada.
