HaSl last Thursday evening with President L. M. Kenney in the chair and a good crowd In attendance. Routine business was conducted, the auditor's report for the year showing satisfactory progress Iji a financial way. The secretary was Instructed to write to Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Frott tendering them a vote of thanks for their good work in connection with! the Legion during the year. It was decided to reduce the fee to 83.00 per year. An Invitation was received from the local assembly of the Native Sons to at tend a social on January 20. This was accepted with pleasure. The following officers were elected for 1027: President L. H. The annual board meeting of the Hazelton Hospital was held In the United Church Mon day evening with R. S. Sargent, chairman, presiding. There was a good attendance cf patrons and friends gathered In the interests of the local Institution which has maintained its policy of the open door since Its Inception. Mrs. Q. W. Dungate presented a vtry fine report for the Women's Auxiliary activities and accomplishments during the year, wherein It was shown that over S500 was raised In the Interests of the hospital In general. Mrs. Matheson, superintendent of the training school, also presented a very full and comprehensive account of the hospital convention, held In Vancouver In August. Dr. H. C. Wrlnch presented a partial report on the financial situation, as well as a general survey of the work and progress during the past year. Special tribute was paid to all who so ably supported the erection and maintaining of the new nurses' home, which has proved such a boon to the nurses. The same board of directors was reelected for the ensuing year, the members being Messrs. R. S. Sargent, S. J. Wlnsby and W. W. Anderson, It was decided to make an appeal for finances during the month, details and plans to" be worked out by the Board.
