He had sores all over his back." Dr. Chase's Ointment is known and EVERYWHERE appreciated bv mothers who have with gratitude witnessed the benefit it has brought to their suffering children. Chafing and cracking of the skin is often the beginning of eczema. The trouble develops where two surfaces of skin rub together as in the neck, armpits or between the legs of fleshy infants. Dr. Chase's Ointment applied after the bath brings relief from this condition and prevents eczema. Dr. Chase's Ointment- 60cU. bat, ill dealers 6rTbe Dr. A. W. Today Prince Rupert has a population of over eight thousand yet there are people here who tell every stranger they meet that she has only six thousand. They think because they see a vacant house on their own street that the population must be decreasing. As a matter of fact there are no houses fit to live in that are long vacant here and building is proceeding all the time. In the year 1921 the official 'count was over eight thdtfsand and since that hundreds of houses have been built and occuplied. The . Chinese think they know everything and see what a terrible result. i WILL SOON HE TIME FOR ROAD BUILDING It will soon be time for road building and it may soon be expected that the work on the completion of the Kaien Island main highway will be under way in the direction of Galloway Rapids. The wor?.t section has been almost completed and more rapid progress will likely be made with the few miles stil( to be built. Once the road is out as far as the rapids it will le worth while, buying a car., If, as is rumored, there may possibly be activity at Port Edward in the near future, the road will likely be continued to that place before it is built up the Skeena Valley. The fashionable thing today is to buy a two-passenger car and crowd eight people into it CHINA .MUCH TO HE PITIED Poor old China is having some bad dreams in connection with her awakening from her long slumber. In fact she is today afflicted with a horrible nightmare. For years she has ceased to be a cohesive nation with anything approaching stable government, and it may be .mi. cars more oeiore sne comes into Her own. The country is so! unwieldy, transportation so poor and the mass of the people so ignorant that it will possibly be a century before she rises to the status of a modern nation. Under these conditions we can have nothing but pity for her and if we can in any way help our neighbor across the sea we should do so. SPRING SALE AT MRS.
