The only point In which 1926 proved a better year from a pleasant weather standpoint was In 'the fact that there was less snow whereas there was more rain to make up for. that The year 1926 was better In most ways, however, than was 1924. Rainfall during 1926 may be said to have been about average In amount. A total of 94.03 Inches of rain fell as compared with 87.6 Inches In 1925 and 103.16 Inches In 1924. Snowfall during 1926 totalled 13 Inches, all of which came In December, as compared with 34.9 Inches In 1925. October was the rainiest month In 1926 and December was a close second, the total for the two months having been 12.86 and 12.39 inches respectively. During 1926 there were 740.3 hours of bright sunshine as compared with about 1000 hours In 1925. The finest month, as usual, was September when there was only 1.09 Inch of rain and 170. hours of sunshine. The warmest day of 1926 was August 25 when the thermometer went up tn 82. The warmest day In 1925 was June 25 when 88 degrees was registered. The coldest days in 1926 were December 13 and 16 when the mercury registered 10 above.
