JOSEPH DOUOLAS WILSON, Agent for . . . Kelley Logging Co. Ltd. Dattu SStU April. 1M7. In the Junior Football League match postponed frooi last Saturday and played last evening at Acropolis Hill. Borden won over High School by a score of two goals to one. High played down hill and Smith forced a couple of corners which were cleared. Wicks carried play to the other end and forced a fruitless corner. Borden were having more than their share of the game and finally Nina Gurvtch scored from Wick's centre. Just after Borden had lucky escape when a long shot of FUher's hit the bottom of the upright with the Borden defence wait-ling for K to go behind. Both the Smiths of the High School were promin ent but with only nine men on the field lllgh were a big advantage. Stcen cleared from Smith a ccup!e of times and then caught a shot that was well inside the upright but the referee from his position upfleld was unable to fee the score. High forwards were continually attacking but finished weakly. Stcen utlsfielded one of Smith's many fine corners but the ball went past for another fruitless comer. Vlctcr Thomai eras prominent but nothing resulted. Mlwa made a good run for High but Otlles e'eared. Lee headed Just over from Wliki' centre. The gme was now much better and faster and High's nine nien were playing very hard. Morrison shot past. Smith worked through but was dUpoeced. In a break-away Lee scored with a fine shot and Borden were two up. Fisher. Smith and Thomas combined well but Stiles cleared. Nick Ourvlch shot wildly. Smith worked his way right through to beat Stent from close in with a fine shot. Kane at the other end caujht and cleared. Smith again worked his way through but shot from top .far out and scut, the bal!,or. Hie bar. Gunrlch handled foolishly in the penalty area but from the resulting penalty Smith hit the upright. Kane was playing well In High goal and caught and cleared several shots, one at point- blank range from Lee being a. very fine save. It was anybody's game and was keenly contested but no further score re-Milted and Borden ran out winners by 2-1. Jack Campbell referecd and W. W. C O'Neill and Bobble Irvine were luicsmen. Day of Omaha told the national conference on social work. The reason, he said, U to be found in the Jack of publicity given the divorce court in England. Prohibition cf published details of divorce proceedings In England has shown that divorce grows when lacking the spotlight of publicity. "Courts should operate In the spot light of the public." he said, "for the gcod of the Individuals as well as the judgecs. Under cover operations lead to tusplcion regarding the procedures. The fear cf publicity settles many domestic relations problems simply by causing the principals to hesitate with their action and to Iron out their differences In the meantime."
