The Intensive training which Is required for this class of sports is very good dls- clpl'ne for any athlete. The spring time Is usually the best season 'or these sports and Is generally used all over the, country as a fitting time for competitions. Athletes generally star early after the New Year to train and In the early spring a few Indoor meet!" are. held and, In the later spring, out side competitions become popular. It was feared that, the windjammer, with sails blown away had drifted to sea before the strong easterly wind. Anxiety has been felt in Seattle about the schooner for some time, as she sailed from Shanghai on October 2S and was spoken fairly close to the coast on December 3. On Tuesday the Canadian National steamer Prince Charles apoke- the Oregon Fir, then lying helpless with her sails blown away.
