Campbell, a graduate nurse of Morden, Man., reports a very interesting experience she had . recently with a distressing case of eczema. The patient was a lady who had suffered keenly both mentally and physically because of the way her face was disfigured and by the itching, burning sensations of the skin. She had become discouraged because doctors considered her case' incurable. Mrs. Campbell had known of similar t cases and by' patient-persistent treatment was able to obtain complete relief and restore the natural beauty of the skin. Mrs. Campbell "writes "A fiatient under my care was so severe-y afflicted with eczema on her face He holds a record for the northern coast, inasmuch as he kept the camp running' continuously throughout the winter, encountering snow difficulties .hat seemed at times Insurmountable, bUt pcrserverance won through and con- fluently the cost of closing and again opening up in the spring was avoided. Since Mr. Housley commenced opera Ions, he has put 8,000.000 feet of logs in the water, and these have been transported to the paper mills at Powell River. The logs comprised 70 per cent, spruce. New railway built by him comprises ,000 feet and work Is being carried on n additional 2,000 feet. A bridge has been constructed across :he North-east fork of the KlUault River, and the railway extended a distance of 8,000 feet from the bridge. At the present time the dally output of logs Is around 50,000 feet. Logging is being conducted at the extreme north end of the flats, and it is expected that everything will be cleaned up during the latter part of August. When this has been done Mr. Housley that. the doctors1 considered it in-, curable and .could do nothing for it. I decided to try Dr. Chase's Ointment and never found anything like it for the first application stopped the itching. By continuing the use of the Ointment, the eczema was entirely removed and the complexion greatly improved. No one would ever know that my patient had previously been so disfigured by this annoying and torturing ailment." Dr. Chase's Ointment is the recognized standard treatment for. eczema. It should never be confused with ordinary salves for it is a medicinal ointment of proven merit , and effectiveness. 60 cents a box, all dealers, or The Dr. A.V. Chase Medicine Co.; Limited, Toronto. Two Davis rafts of logs have been constructed near the DoUy Varden wharf and contain 2U million feet. 'The yare practically completed, and a tugboat is expected to arrive at any time to transport them to Powell River, taking out both rafts. These rafts clean up nearly all the logs In the water. j Market Prices Retail prices on the local market to day are as follows- LAKU Pure . 25c Compound 20c Ecios B.C. fresh pullets 35c B.C. fresh, firsts ...-40c B.C. fresh, extras 45c Local new laid 50c fish Halibut, lb 25c Salmon, red spring 35c Salmon, white fprlng, lb 15c Smoked kippers, lb 15c Kippered salmon, lb 25c Smoked black cod. lb 20c Finnan haddles, lb 20c Salt mackerel, lb. 25c Eastern salt herring, 3 for 25c Salt codfish fillets, lb -. . . . 25c Boneless salt cod bricks, lb. . 20c MEATS Fowl.
