Thomas Robertson, the .company's mine manager reported that he had personally visited the "Lucky Boy" pro perty In the past season and had been fully Impressed , with the value of the property and he was satisfied that it would be possible for a couple of miners to make good money in mining and shipping the ore that was now in sight. In addition to the main tunnel, drifts had been run to right and left and at about seventy feet from the portal a shaft had been sunk which at the time of his visit was filled with water, but from which, on the authority of H. F. W. Benson, the best of the ore assayed had been taken. Mr. Benson had stated that the ore body widened out as the shaft was sunk and the high grade vein measured about twenty-eight Inches at the spot where the last shot had been flivd.
