ORGAN RECITAL IS FINE TREAT Ewart Lyne Proved Himself Master tf Instrument at Cathedral Last H veiling Music lover of this city had a wonderful treat last night in the pipe organ recital by Ewart Lyne of the Capitol Theatre orchestra at St. Andrew's Anglican Cathe dral. Mr. Lyne proved himself indeed a master of this instrument and his skill both in technique and ! expression was the subject of 'much compliment if not surprise. He proved that the pipe organ is really his Instrument and those who heard hits last night expressed the desire that it might soon be their privilege to hear him again. Mr. Lyne gave a varied program to demonstrate his proficiency. Probably the most notable number was hi own fantasia entitled "The Storm." in which were introduced the hymns "The Day Thou Gave3t,'' "Eternal Fathe-, Strong to Save," and "Peace, Perfect Peace." He also played compositions by Guilmant, Wosten-holme, Batiste, Mailly, Schumann and Sibelius. The program opened with a processional hymn and there was also ja closing hymn. During the tak- ' ing of the offertory for the organ fund, the choir sang the anthem, "Radiant Morn." There is a helpful spirit of co-operation prevalent. For instance, the Electric Bakery has offered to cook the meats. The Dulkley Market has offered 25 pounds of meat for the occasion. Others are doubtless only waiting until they have an opportunity to tell what they will do. There was a mistake in the report of the donation made by little Joan Watt. Her subscription was announced as $2, whereas it should have been $5. The following are the amounts received since Saturday: Joan Watt (additional) ...'... 3 'u Ik ley Market, meat, 25 pounds.
