Hall was turned into n veritable winter garden on Saturday for the annual Christmas sale of the Anglican Women's Auxiliary. Christmas colors of green and red were used throughout, red lights, flowers, balloons and candles brightening up the abundance of evergreens. By three o'clock a large crowd of eager buyers were on hand, and following the singing of the Doxology. and prayer by Rev. A W. Robinson, Mrs. Bredin of Grand Prairie, sister of Rev. T. J Marsh, declared the sale operj. More than the usual amount of plain and fancy work and novelty articles were on sale at the work stall which was preside over by Mrs. Gilbert, Mrs. H. HOLDING BACK MINING WORK John Willman and Others Disappointed Over Copper River Bridge TERRACE, Dec. 3. Captain John Willman of Usk was a bus iness visitor here on Thursday and expressed considerable disappointment that the approaches to the Copper River bridge had not been completed this fall, thereby enabling him to take in machine! y and supplies from Terrace to hi-mining camp near Usk, where he has over shirty men engaged. A small amount of work on thee approaches would make it possible to cross on the new Copper River bridge and the supplies could then taken in on sleighs regardless of the condition of the Skeena. The completion of the provincial highway will aid greatly in the more speedy development of number of others in the Chimde-mash and Legate Creek districts, this promising mine, as well as a which are equally promising.
