The total pack of spring salmon this year, including both canned and mild cured, has not been up to expectations though the quality of the pack has been good. The run of sockeye both on the bkcena and Naas Rivers has been very disappointing. The run on the Queen Charlotte Islands, only starting now. is later than it was two years ago but quite an abundance of fish has been reported recently and canneries both In Maeaett Inlet and further south on the Island are now in full operation. As a nutter of fact, practically every cannery all the way along the coast has been operating to full capacity the past week or so.
