With the dallf liowers and warm weather which hai prevailed throughout the whole of Western Canada during the past week. crop of all kinds have made remark able progress. A tew local district In the southeastern part of Manitoba report some damage from excessive rainfall. At Three Hills, Alberta, and In the Carman to Belmont. Manitoba. districts there has been some slight damage from hall. Wheat Is reported as well advanced in the shot blade and some districts throughout the central parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta re port It fully headed out to the ex tent of 80 per cent and present Indies tlons are that It wUl be a heavy crop. Coarse grains are also making rapid growth and a 'few districts to central Manitoba report barley as heading out. Fall rye which at present bids fair to be a record crop is expected to harvest two weeks earlier than last year. With the exception of a few looal districts in northwestern Manitoba and central Saskatchewan which report some growth of weed in last year summerfallow there doea not appear to be any loss through weed trouble. At Cralk and Blenfalt, Saskatchewan some sign of rust Is reported but in neither district Is It considered ser lous. Owing to favorable conditions for breaking there Is considerable new land being brought under cultivation throughout the prairie district of cen tral Saskatchewan and Alberta. Northern and central Alberta report Excellent hay crops which is also very promising throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Preeent reports from all districts would indicate that there la sufficient moisture at the present time to last for three week and that only warm weather Is needed for the development of all crops in order that they may mature properly without excesslvo growth which might have a tendency to delay maturing In the proper ses- son.
