THE DAILY NEWS is Prince Rupert's recognized Daily Newspaper I TIIB DAILY NEWS ADJUTANT KERR RETURNING HERE Former Local Salvation Army Officer to Take Charge of Work in Northern British Columbia Many former iucal friends will' be pleased to learn that Adjutant William Kerr, who was identified with the Salvation Army here in the early days, is to return to Prince Rupert at the end of this month to take up duty as officer in charge of the newly created Northern British Columbia district which has now been separated from the Alaska division. Adjutant and Mrs. Kerr will ar- rrive in the city after the proniv- cial congress which is to be held in Vancouver next week. Adjutant Kerr for the past few years has been in charge of the Galician home near Calgary. Prior to that he was financial officer for the Northern British Columbia and Alaska division. A lady officer will also be stationed here to assist Adjutant and Mrs. Kerr with 'heir work. Staff Captain and Mrs. Joseph Acton will take charge of the Alaska division with headquarters at Wrangell, succeeding Major and Mrs. Walter L. Carruthers who are being moved to Manitoba. Farewell services will be held here next' Sunday by Major and Mrs. Carruthers and Ensign and Mrs. Sydney Joyce.
