TIMBER INDUSTRY Barns Carried Away Children Killed When Cyclone Hit Quebec People arc Lifted dp and Dashed Against Trees or Other Obstructions in Bcrthier County MONTREAL, Aug. 20. Three children of Mr. and Mrs. Honri Gouin of St. Joseph were killed while their parents and Mr. and Mrs. legs and arms when a cyclone swept the northern part of Berthiur county yesterday. The children were killed when the barn in which they were playing was carried several hundred yards from its former location. The others were injured when carried through the air, striking against trees or other obstructions. General destruction was caused by the terrible norm. Barns were carried away, farm dwellings wore badly damaged, trees uprooted, fences torn down, and telegraph and telephone poles felled.
