PHONES 43 and SS5 INSPECTOR OF RADIO ACTIVE Investigated Local Conditions Yesterday and Testing 'Shaw atlans Plan Today The executive of the Prince Rupert Radio Association last night met A. L. Gray, radio in spector, and discussed with him the whole radio situation with a view to removing local noises which interfere with radio recep tion. President D. C. McRae . stated that he had been out a good deal of the day with Mr. Gray making investigations and he outlined what had been discovered. A test of a local source of trouble was also made at the meeting, wjth good results. The possibility of some of the noises coming from Shawatlans was discussed and it was decided that Mr. Gray should make tests in that connection today. Mr. Gray explained that in the large centres they do not worry with noises that do not interfere with reception from their local station. Here the nearest stations are four of five hundred miles away and the slightest noise interferes. His testing set was not sufficiently sensitive to do the work ye4l here, although it was the standard set used everywhere. Mr. Gray is proposing to, leave for the south tomorrow- merrtiBg, but local radio fans are hoping he will clean up roost of the local trouble before he goes away.
