In the evening, an entertain ment and dance for the grown-ups was staged. Both affairs were well attended and highly enjoyable. Fifty children were present for the Christmas tree. Presents for all were served and a very enjoyable time spent. A speech of welcome was given by Mrs. John II. Hanson, who also led the children in song. Two hundred nersons attended the evening's entertainment and dance. Karl Dybhavn, president, gave an address of welcome. The program opened with the sinKlnz of "O Can ada" and among those contributing numDers was Mrs. Jams McLeod, who sang, "Alice Blue Oown" and "Carry Me Back To Old Vlrglnny" as vocal numbers. H. Eikstad gave an address. Then there was community singing of Norwegian songs and the whole assembly paraded around the Christmas tree singing Yuletlde songs. ., The evening's proceedings closed with a Norwegian dance, music for which was played by Hanson and Farstad. The festivities started at 4 o'clock in the afternoon with the serving of supper for the children. An hour later there was a dinner for the adults wiich was followed i by an enjoyable program of mus-j leal numbers and recitations. At I 8 p.m., Santa Claus, represented by ! S. N. Boyle, appeared on the scene and distributed gifts for all! from a heavily laden Christmas Tree. After the children had left,' there wis a dance from 9 to 11:30 with mmic by the Oddfellows' Or-i chestra.
