There must be few 'parents whose children go to school by this route who do nat think that a sidewalk is urgently required on SJxth Avenue, and there arc many who dally anxiously awaa thp return of their little ones. RADIO RECOMMENDATIONS Even more far reaching than might have been expected are the recommendations that have been made by the federal Royal Commission named to investigate the radio situation in Canada. Apparently, the commission has gone right to the bottom of things and has decided that if improvements are to be eventually carried out right, it might as we!l be now. That it would be to the best interests of radio receivers ar least to have Canadian radio broadcasting controlled by one big concern in many ways seejns evident. It would be a big matter, however, which would have to be proceeded with slowly. One of the dangers is that it might become cumbersome. No doubt, there will have to be much more discussion of this matter before any attempt is made to put the recommendations of the commission into operation.
